The "Appren'TISSAGE" courses allow people with a foreign language, and settled in Plan-les-Ouates, to progress in the practice of French. Appren'TISSAGE aims moreover the promotion of better living together.

No less than twelve volunteer teachers are involved in "Appren'TISSAGE". Thanks to their pedagogical and relational skills, they design and run French courses, whose success continues to grow. Through "Appren'TISSAGE", the Department of Social Action and Youth intends to promote the development and consolidation of social ties and the opportunities for sharing between different cultures, in a spirit of mutual enrichment.

The French classes of the Maison de Quartier were initiated on 1 January 2011 following the finding of the municipal partners of the need to provide access to the French language to the women of the municipality. Firstly, managed by the UPA (Albanian Popular University), it is today an integral part of the fundamental projects of the association of the House of Quarter. There are more than 36 women who follow four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) classes of different levels (first-time beginner, beginner, elementary and literacy). At the same time, some of these women can enroll their preschool child in the care of the young. They benefit from the attention and the educational support allowing them different learning facilitating a back to school facilitated.

The student commits for a full school year (September to June).
The courses are all at the MQEV and begin on the condition that a sufficient number of students have registered.

The mission of the Maison des Langues is to implement the language policy of the University of Geneva. This policy is defined by a set of 18 measures validated by the Rectorate in March 2012. The Language Policy Commission supports the implementation of these measures.
With more than a third of its student body from abroad and close to 700 visiting students and researchers coming each year on university mobility programmes, UNIGE is a truly international and therefore multilingual institution.
The Tandems linguistiques portal takes advantage of this language diversity to offer all members of the UNIGE and HES university community the opportunity to learn and practice a foreign language, free of charge and according to their availability.

Située au coeur de Genève en Suisse, ELFI se destine aux adultes désireux de s'initier ou de se perfectionner aussi bien dans la langue et la culture française qu'en informatique. Dans une ambiance sérieuse et familiale, notre école offre des cours de qualité et adapte son enseignement en fonction du niveau, des progrès et des difficultés des élèves.
Enseigner les bases du français aux élèves migrant-e-s de 12 à 15 ans (et, si nécessaire, leur assurer une mise à niveau scolaire), au sein de classes d’accueil selon leur âge.
Lieu
Ces classes sont réparties dans les divers collèges du cycle d’orientation. Dans la mesure du possible, les élèves sont intégré-e-s dans le collège le plus proche de leur domicile. Parfois cependant, ils-elles doivent être placé-e-s dans un collège plus éloigné mais facilement accessible par les transports publics. Dans ce cas, lorsqu’ils-elles rejoignent une classe ordinaire, ils-elles ont la possibilité de choisir entre le collège où ils-elles se trouvent et un collège plus proche de leur domicile.
Un entretien et des tests d’entrée seront effectués avant le début de la formation. Un dossier de candidature est demandé avant l’inscription. Le dossier doit contenir les documents suivants : un curriculum vitae, une copie de la carte d’identité ou du passeport et deux photographies (format passeport). L’école BER a été fondée en 1952 par Roger Bertholet et sa femme qui l’ont dirigée jusqu’en 1990. Dès 1991, la direction a été reprise par leur fils, Jean-Luc Bertholet, bientôt épaulé par Myriam Gomez, puis Karima Boulharouf et Isabelle Baudet. Dès janvier 2010, Jean-Luc Bertholet cède son poste à Karima Boulharouf qui devient alors l’administratrice de l’Ecole.
